This Interactive Report performs Dynamic Pareto Analysis for a database of complaints.
Add Rules to Include or Exclude Complaints
By default, the Pareto analysis considers all complaints and requests. You can change this by
adding rules. Click any row in a Pareto Table to add a rule for that categoory. It will appear
on the left.
“Include”, “Include Only”, and “Exclude” Rules
To be included a record must match all “Must” rules. It must also match
at least one “May” rule. It must not match any “Must Not” rules.
Recalculate With New Inclusion Rules
After choosing all your rules, click Recalculate on the left. This will update all Pareto Tables. The analysis
does not update until you press Recalculate.
Trends over Time
The “By Month” section shows the fraction of currently included complaints each month. You can
focus your analysis on a time period using the Pareto Table for the month. Just add all desired months
as “Match At Least One” rules.
Sample Spot Check
A small random sample of included Complaints is chosen whenever you Recalculate. The Sample Check section
shows you the full details of these sample complaints to aid understanding.
